NAME
dialmon - display Dialup IP statistics
SYNOPSIS
dialmon
[ -g ]
[ -l line ]
[ -p ]
[ -t g|line ]
[ host ]
DESCRIPTION
Dialmon connects to a ``dip-status'' server on the specified host
(the default is the local host).
It then loops, reading statistics about Dialup IP transmission on that host,
and displaying this information in a graphical display.
Dialmon accepts the following flags:
- -g
-
Display site-global statistics; this is the default.
- -l line
-
Display the statistics about line number line.
- -p
-
Use a pipe to connect to the server by doing a fork and exec on the
local host.
- -t g
-
Display the total statistics for the site-global data.
- -t line
-
Display the total statistics for line number line.
Once the program is running, the following commands are accepted:
- ?
-
Display help.
- L
-
Redraw the screen.
- g
-
Display site-global statistics.
- h
-
Display help.
- l line
-
Display statistics about line number line.
- q
-
Quit.
- r y
-
Reset the totals to zero.
- r n
-
Reset the totals to what they were at the last reboot.
- t g
-
Display the total statistics for the site-global data.
- t line
-
Display the total statistics for line number line.
Note that dialmon may hang waiting for the nameserver to resolve the
destination addresses of the interfaces; make sure there are inverse-pointer
records.
On a Sun, if the destination address is a broadcast address, an adb of
the kernel may be required.
